Originally from Beresford, New Brunswick, Renée Blanchard is a fluently bilingual lawyer whose practice focuses on family law, will and estates. A graduate from the Université de Moncton, she obtained a Bachelor’s in Administration in 2007. In 2010, she completed her Bachelor of Law degree, during which she won trial advocacy competitions at both the regional (McKelvey Cup) and the national levels (Sopinka Cup).
Since her admission to the Bar in June 2011, she has practiced as a trial lawyer in family law matters, becoming an accomplished litigator with experience appearing before both the Court of Queen’s Bench and the Court of Appeal. Always conscious of the difficult circumstances in which families find themselves when requiring legal services, Renée responds to her clients needs in a timely and professional manner.
Active in the community, she is currently on the Board of the Law Society of New Brunswick Admissions Committee, and sits as a member on the board of the Famille et Petite Enfance Francophone Sud inc.. In addition, she is a past Board Member of the Moncton Area Lawyer Association. In 2017, she taught a course on family law at the Université de Moncton Faculty of Law, where she continues to volunteer for various activities every year.
